Tire Rotation & Replacement In Cincinnati
Uneven wear, a pull to one side, or a set of tires that is simply past its life: we handle tire rotation, balancing, repair and replacement at our Cheviot Road shop in Cincinnati. If you would rather not drive on them, tell us where the car is and we will come get it.

What Our Tire Services Cover
From keeping a healthy set wearing evenly to putting on a new one, here is what we handle.
Tire Rotation
We move each tire to a different corner on a regular schedule, typically every 5,000 to 7,500 miles, so tread wears evenly instead of one axle going first.
Tire Balancing
Wheel weights get checked and reset so the ride stays smooth at highway speed instead of developing a vibration you can feel through the wheel.
Tire Replacement
When a tire is past repair or past its wear, we help you pick a replacement and mount and balance it before the car comes off the lift.
Tire Repair
Most punctures in the tread smaller than a quarter inch can be plugged and patched properly. Sidewall damage or a puncture that size usually means replacement instead.
Tire Pressure Checks
Pressure drifts with the season and gets checked at every visit. A tire running low wears unevenly and costs you fuel besides.
Alignment Check
A car pulling to one side or wearing tires unevenly on one edge often comes down to alignment rather than the tires themselves. We check it before recommending anything.
Honest Tire Recommendations, Not Upselling
A tire recommendation should start with a tread depth gauge, not a quota.
- We measure tread depth on all four before anybody talks about replacing anything. A tire that still has life in it does not get sold as one that doesn’t.
- If something needs attention, we tell you. If it does not, we say so and hand you the keys.
- We would rather rotate and patch a good tire than sell you a set you do not need yet. A full set on principle is not the same thing as a full set you actually need.
- Our ASE certified techs do the work, and most of it is backed by our 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty. If something we fixed does not stay fixed, bring it back.
Signs Your Tires Need Attention
Any one of these is worth having checked. Two of them together is worth having checked this week.
What Causes Uneven Tire Wear
Cincinnati’s roads are hard on alignment and pressure both, and a tire wearing unevenly usually means something upstream of the tire itself needs a look. If it has been a while since anyone checked, that is reason enough.
Why Drivers Choose Bear Car Care
Pick a time and we show up, then bring the car back when it is done. Free inside five miles. On a tire you are not sure is safe, that is the difference between getting it looked at today and putting it off.
Most of our services carry it, and every job goes through ASE certified techs. That standing-behind-it isn’t just talk.
Between them, our team brings 74 years of combined technician experience to your car.
The shop traces back to around 1948, when it started as Western Hills Alignment, and it’s been serving the west side ever since. Andrew took over under current ownership in 2015.
A dealer will hand you a $150 diagnostic before they’ve popped the hood, and a chain will hand you a coupon and a four-tire quote. We’d rather measure your tread, tell you what we found, and let that be the whole conversation.

The thing customers mention most often is being told a tire could be patched instead of replaced.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often should tires be rotated?
Every 5,000 to 7,500 miles for most vehicles. Rotating on a regular schedule is what keeps tread wearing evenly across all four instead of one axle going first.
Can a punctured tire be repaired, or does it need to be replaced?
Most punctures in the tread smaller than a quarter inch can be repaired properly. Sidewall damage, a larger puncture, or multiple repairs on one tire usually means replacement instead.
What are the signs I need an alignment?
A car pulling to one side, tread wearing unevenly, or a steering wheel that is not centered when driving straight are the usual signs. We check alignment before recommending new tires, since it is sometimes the real cause of the wear.
Will you tell me if I do not actually need new tires yet?
Yes. If something needs attention, we tell you. If it does not, we say so and hand you the keys.
Is tire work covered by your warranty?
Most of our services are covered by a 2-year, 24,000-mile warranty, and all work is done by ASE certified techs. If something we fixed does not stay fixed, bring it back.
Do you do the free pickup for tire service?
Yes. Pickup and delivery is free within 5 driving miles of our Cheviot Road shop. From 5.1 to 10 driving miles there is a $130 minimum on the repair ticket, and from 10.1 to 20 driving miles it is $150. Enter your address in the checker above and it will tell you which band you are in. More than 20 driving miles away? You’re outside our pickup area, so schedule a drop-off or call us.
